Medium Onshore wind
Surf conditions at 7.05 a.m. on Tuesday 6th November 2012:
It's a bright 'n breezy morning, that Autumn sky throwing all sorts of colours about the place, backlit cartoon clouds scudding across the skyline in a hurry to get somewhere!
The surf is a disappointment, a couple of feet of sloppy looking lines, the onshore west north westerly wind strong enough to make for bumpy and lumpy surf conditions but not helping the swell either.
The tide is quite low right now and so the waves are being affected more by the wind than it will be as it rises but it is still going to stay sloppy. High tide should see surfable but lumpy and bumpy and quite small waves. It will be worth a look at highish tide for a quick session but it's unlikely to be better than just about okay.
And how cold has it quickly become! Time for booties for sure!
And maybe one of those new 'Tecnobuttery' winter wetsuits too! Hmmmmm.
The O'Neill Cold Water Classic at Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz in sunny California has thrown up a few surprise eliminations so far, allowing a whole new mash-up of possibilities as the World Title race heads into the home straight of Hawaii through Winter. There are a few of the top guys having to re-consider their positions while a couple have pushed further sooner than they could have hoped. Yep, Hawaii is going to be exciting!
But before that there are a few points yet to be won down at the lane! And with so many interesting camera angles it's worth a look-see!

We spent most of last week in the shop mainly unpacking all of our new 'own logo' winter jackets and beanies and hoodies and all sorts, as well as more beautiful winter wetsuits.
How good are those Xcel and O'Neill Winter wetsuits again this year! 'Technobuttery'! All slippery and stretchy too!
Thanks for responding to the amnesty on our FCS demo fins! But there are still a good few more out there!
So if you have demo'd a set of fins and haven't yet returned them, for whatever reason, then now's the time! Just drop them back to the shop, no questions asked! We would just love to see them back - our selection is empty! And don't worry, we know how easy it is to overlook returning them and then time rolls on and it all becomes a hassle but if you do have any sets of fins to return, now is the time!
Give them to a friend to bring back or just pop 'em in the post box, we're not going to charge you!
