SALMON Theory offers a glimpse into the winter surfing experience the Granite State, New Hampshire.

There’s snow on the ground, this isn’t California, it’s not anywhere on the surfing map. While known for its rocks and white mountains, New Hampshire’s mere eighteen miles of coast supports a surprisingly vibrant surfing community - bound by their frozen stoke - an essence Dylan and Ryan at Granite Stoke are determined to distill.

Following a morning spent looking at perfect tropical brand porn, listening to some insights from surfers who shouldn’t be allowed to speak, it’s refreshing to open up the inbox and pull out a perfectly cured side of reality. The winter on the East Coast might have been pretty terrible wave-wise but the the stoke still runs deep, forced into bright clarity by the cold.

Vid is narrated by Casey Lockwood with surfers: Casey Lockwood, Shawn MacDonald, Stevie O’Hara and others.
