Mentawai Pro Forecast 26th April 2013

MSW's new 'great circle' chart view shows the storm and the southerly approach we'll see from this swell. Coming in around 5ft@15seconds it's at the upper end of the typical off season range and should deliver a bump in size on recent days.

With the early rounds complete we’re starting to see the arrival of a new swell, to peak tomorrow, that should allow the wrap up of competition. With swell pushing larger than we’ve seen so far in competition and a SSW direction we should see a continuation of recent decent conditions but with more size on the sets. We look likely to see some rain as we have over the past few days. Light variable winds are hard to call with precision but a hint of westerly flow should leave us with a great finish.
